This workshop provides an accessible introduction to online investigations of individuals, focusing on why is it important to be aware of information available online and the consequences of poor personal security. Attendees will explore what the an Online Vulnerability Assessment is, the laws and ethics behind online investigations and the types of tradecraft that enable collection of publicly available information online. The session also covers the fundamentals of personal security online, including who can be affected by online vulnerabilities, where the information can be found and how this information can affect future prospects. Through real-world examples and discussion, participants will gain practical insights into the challenges, risks, and considerations involved with individuals having their information publicly available online.
